Gefeillyd a Landerne, Llydaw

Designated a World Heritage Site, Conwy can truly lay claim to being one of the finest remaining medieval walled towns. Approaching by road, the first glimpse of the town will reveal the majestic ramparts of Edward I’s imposing castle. Built between 1283 and 1287, a masterpiece of architecture, its origins and history tell and important part of the fascinating story of the town itself.

The walls retain three of the original gateways and make an exciting walk with spectacular views to the quay and the pretty yacht-filled harbor beneath. A verdant mountainous backdrop complements the scene. With a wealth of attractions that span the ages, events galore, a wide choice of accommodation, restaurant and shopping, Conwy is the perfect destination for a day out or a great break.

Conwy is a member of the Walled Town Friendship Circle which has over 150 participants worldwide and aims to link together the unique qualities that walled towns share.
